Truck racks are vital for contractors. They allow for all kinds of extra storage for necessary parts, equipment, tools, and supplies. Customers hate hearing that you’ll have to return the next day with the right part to finish the job, so keeping extra storage on your pickup or box truck can save you time on the road and earn more trust. Completing your client’s job in one visit is something that will help you earn repeat business.

Expanded Storage

Sometimes your run of the mill racks will do the job, but when you’re scaling your business, need added storage, or have unusual items, a custom rack is the best fix. We can build metal truck racks to hold glass panels or doors. We can add extended storage above your roof for extra long pipes, ladders, lumber or anything else that is well beyond the length of your pickup truck’s bed. With a custom rack above the roof, you can easily haul items that are as long as your vehicle, from the front bumper to the back bumper. We can design your storage racks to be as lightweight as possible or as sturdy as you need. Is your van used for hauling passengers up mountain roads or running tours to various unique Colorado experiences? If so, you've got to keep the inside of your ride comfortable for your clients. Custom van racks or van baskets on the roof will allow you to strap in gear like luggage or skis and snowboards without cramping the space for your paying customers.  Colorado Springs has been expanding for a while, so let us help you grow your business with custom rooftop mounted racks for common to unusual needs.

Van Racks

Van’s offer safer and larger options for storage than pick up trucks but once you build shelving inside or fill it with your existing tools, what are you supposed to do with some of your larger materials you need for clients? By adding an aluminum roof rack to your van, you can extend your storage beyond what fits inside. We’re able to add roof racks to sprinter vans, transit vans or any other vehicle that needs extra storage.

Rack Dividers and Rack Separators

By going custom with our vehicle racks, you don’t need to worry about your needs not being met. We can design specifically for your trade. Tools and materials will all have a designated location so your team can remain organized and move efficiently through each job’s items by using storage that is designed for your crew.

Racks for Your Fleet

Do you have a mixed assortment of vehicles? No problem. Another benefit of custom truck racks is that we can design them with you. Whether you’re dealing with height restrictions, easy access, or safety concerns, we’ll listen to your exact pain points and bring our welding expertise to the project to solve your problems. By taking measurements of your vehicles and learning more about the tools or materials you transport, we’ll come up with the best options and present you choices if there is not a clear winner. From crew cabs to short beds, we can fit a set of metal equipment racks for your entire delivery fleet. From glass racks to pipe racks to landscape racks, we fill the void for small and large business owners that can’t find a pre-made item to fit their exact needs.

Customizable Vehicle Rack Options

While our metal will come standard in a shiny silver finish, if you have a wrap on your vehicle or some brightly colored branding, we would be happy to have your rack painted to fit perfectly with the theme or your company’s design.

Box Truck Racks

Box trucks are an amazing way to fit a lot of cargo into a vehicle. They come in many sizes, but the most common are the u-haul shaped trucks that have a large box-like space for storage directly behind the cab of the truck. Unlike a pickup truck, the storage are is enclosed so things stay safe and dry…and hopefully organized. But what if you occasionally need an extra long pipe transported and your box doesn't extend over your cab? With our Colorado Springs best welders, we’ll send someone to your location and add a side mount rack to the upper area of your enclosed truck. Do you need to utilize the entire top for a ladder roof rack? No problem. Show us the equipment you need to move regularly and we’ll work with you to design a custom metal solution.

Pickup trucks are fine too. We can design an aluminum truck bed rack to fit any pick up. The frame can follow the perimeter of your truck bed or we can add multiple crossbars to support smaller, heavier items. We can even build racks that fit around the canopy of your truck with or without crossbars that extend over the cab. As you’re starting to see, when you hire our professional welders to handle your rack systems, we can create nearly anything. Because all our fabricated racks are designed from scratch, there are no limits to what you can add to your custom delivery truck racks.

Heavy Truck Add Ons

Whether you have a cherry picker or another type of hydraulic system on your large truck, you may need a platform or a ladder for loading and unloading. We can build these systems for deisel trucks and conventional trucks. By taking measurements and understanding how you use your equipment, we can customize a solution for your and your drivers and technicians.

Trailer Additions and Modifications

There are some cool companies popping up that build specialized racks for trimmers, weed eaters, rakes and other items that have a long profile. Most of these metal items work really well too. We’re here for modifications and custom calls when those prefab items aren’t doing the job for you. Call Top Peak Welding if you need a unique fix for a utility trailer, a lawn trailer or any type of work trailer. Our turnaround times and pricing are very reasonable.

Is your existing trailer ramp not cutting it for the gadgets you need to get loaded? We can build a metal frame then install wood infill, diamond mesh, or expanded metal mesh to items to roll into your trailer easily and smoothly. If you need something more robust for loading heavier equipment, we can build a ramp entirely out of stainless steel diamond plate. A bumper, step up or folding ramp to lead to your trailer or truck can make all the difference in saving your team time which means getting to the next job quicker.

Welded Racks

All of our racks are welded which means when we’re done they are held together as one solid piece. This is better than an assembled product where all the pieces are held together by bolts or screws. Think about how much movement your vehicle experiences on the road. Not the distance it travels, but the bumps, the jerks, the turns and the sudden stops. All of these movements will slowly loosen up your bolts leading to noise and worse, a failure of the rack system to remain intact. This is why by using a welded metal rack, you can be confident that your specialty rack will remain intact as it holds items, moves and shifts and does it’s job for your each and every work day. Depending on your weight load, we can usually use 1 ¼” pipe for our creations. Moving to a thicker size is always an option but it comes with more weight and cost. We attempt to build you the strongest product possible without overdoing it. By keeping the weight down, we’re helping your vehicles with gas consumption as well as material costs up front.

If we haven’t covered your rack needs above, we’d love to hear about them. We’re sure we can come up with a design that will get you on the road, holding each and every item you can safely carry. New needs arise everyday in the welding world and that’s part of why we love this job. Reach out with questions or specifics about your requirements so we can work with your autos to help your business meet its daily demands.
